The online threat landscape is constantly evolving, and responsive protection makes all the difference. Last week during Cisco Live it was revealed that Cisco’s world-class Advanced Malware Prevention (AMP) and Threat Grid are coming to the Cisco Meraki MX family of security appliances, and that means your business network will be safer than ever.
You don’t have to choose between easy cloud-based network management and advanced malware protection; you can have both! With AMP, Cisco’s world-class malware database is paired with context-aware monitoring and reporting, retrospective malware analysis, and Threat Grid virtual machine simulation (also called sandboxing) to do more than block the accidental downloading of malware. Your MX appliance will protect your network before, during, and after an attempted attack.
Automatically check downloaded files against the AMP database and block malicious files in real time. Get alerted if previously accepted files start displaying malicious behaviors – then act on them to contain the threat. And with the soon-to-be-integrated Threat Grid, you’ll be able to send unknown files to a simulated virtual environment and execute them safely to check for malicious behavior without risking the safety of your network.
Best of all, you still get all of the convenience of the MX cloud dashboard. You can seamlessly switch between network management and threat intelligence, and configuring AMP is as simple as managing any other MX function.
